This position is located in Atlanta, GA

Position Overview
Create, maintain, administer DB2 UDB databases for implementation teams
Develop, test, and implement software that are related to databases and/or
application
Support the databases on various platforms
Database performance optimization and benchmarking
Define and document installation process and scripts for database for product
implementations
Provide installations and troubleshooting support to customers and installation teams
Audit product database implementations
Troubleshooting client production issues related to the application and providing
support high availability solutions

Required Skills/Experience
In-depth knowledge of DB2 UDB (experience in version 8.1 is a must)
Knowledge of new features in v8.2.2 is a big plus
Strong knowledge of SQL and SQL/PL is required.
In-depth knowledge of performance tuning
Knowledge of NT, Unix, and shell programming is essential
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
Experience with SQL Server 2000 or Oracle 9i/10g is a big plus
Excellent communication and organization skills required
Knowledge of VB or C++ or Java is preferred but not essential
