Basic Qualifications
A 4-year bachelor of science degree in Computer Science, from an accredited college or university, plus a minimum of 8 years of engineering experience. 4+ years experience in JAVA, Real-Time Embedded System Programming and/or Design

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations
This is a senior level software developer position responsible for design and development of TV middleware components in Java.
- Candidate is expected to have design and implementation experience in java on a resource constrained device.
- Must have development experience in embedded environments.
- Experience with OCAP or other TV Middleware environments a definite plus.
- Will work with a team of developers in designing and developing Java Middleware components for Digital Set Top Boxes

Specific Knowledge/Skills
A BS degree in CS plus 8+ years software development experience. 4+ years experience with java and JNI programming on embedded platforms. Strong system-level software development in a multi-tasking environment required.
Additional Desirable Skills
- Experience working with Personal Java particularly within the constraints of embedded systems
- Knowledge of DTV head-end and delivery
- MPEG Systems level experience.
- Experience with evolving open standards for interactive TV such as Multimedia Home Platform (MHP), OpenCable Application Platform (OCAP), and JavaTV
- Experience with Java AWT GUI programming
