The job involves developing embedded real-time firmware and / or DSP code for a wireless protocol stack. Most of the work is done in the C programming language. However, an understanding of assembly language, as well as some hardware basics, is essential for success in this position. Use of debugging tools is limited, and debugging software problems with an oscilloscope or logic analyzer is not uncommon.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or Math required

You have worked on real time and / or low-level software
You know some assembly language, and have potentially used it to diagnose compiler problems, or investigated what the compiler does to your code
A good understanding of signal processing is very important
You know how to structure a C program well, while maintaining efficiency
You enjoy working on technology, and have written software on your own (as a hobby)
Having completed projects on your own, will be considered in lieu of formal work experience
