This position is located in Dallas, TX.

This position is responsible for the financial reporting for multiple subsidiaries of a relatively large multi-national private holding company with varied accounting and reporting needs. This position will regularly interact with all management levels of many departments, such as: legal, treasury, risk management, tax, etc. In general the position will be ultimately responsible for the following areas either through direct performance of the duties below or through supervision of others to whom the duties below are delegated.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

" Review general ledgers and create consolidated financial statement packages in a multiple company multi-national environment.
" Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets and forecasts.
" Understand and review foreign currency accounting and reporting.
" Articulate to senior management the potential accounting and financial effects of various proposed transactions.
" Assist in both internal and external audits.
" Perform special projects as necessary.
" Prepare and review various types of accounting schedules (notes payable/receivable, depreciation, capital expenditures and others upon request).

REQUIREMENTS:

" 2-3 years experience in financial reporting required
" 5 + years of accounting experience
" Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word are required; knowledge of SAP, BCS and BW are preferred
" 2-3 years in public accounting preferred
" CPA or CPA candidate preferred
" Bachelor's degree required
" Applicant must have a strong understanding of the interrelationships of financial statements and strong analytical skills. The applicant must also be an independent thinker and have the ability to formulate solutions to complex reporting problems. Finally, the applicant should have a sound fundamental understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting rules and disclosure requirements.
