This job is located in Irving, TX.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Perform Human Resources Generalist duties at the professional level. The Human Resources Generalist will provide advice, assistance, and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
" Responsible for human resources activities to include employment, employee relations, recruiting, and project management.
" Assist with the administration of benefit and retirement programs.
" Partner with employees and management to communicate various HR policies and procedures.
" Conduct on-line research regarding current state & federal regulations and case law.
" Special projects to include assisting in the creation of an employee handbook, new hire orientation program, and updating/creating job descriptions.
" Interview and screen job applicants to fill entry level and professional job openings.
" HR records and management
" Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Primary duties involve sitting or standing in the same location. On occasion the employee may move/lift material or equipment (typically less than 8 pounds).
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
" Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
" Proficient with HRIS and MS office programs.
" Background in employment law and other government compliance regulations is preferred.
" Ability to research and analyze various types of data.
" Must have ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, and government regulations.
" Experience managing multiple projects concurrently, demonstrating a sense of urgency.
" At least 3 years of experience specializing in at least two of the following areas: employee relations, benefits, HR records administration, or recruiting.
" Ability to learn new systems quickly and create improved efficiency.
" Excellent follow-up skills with the ability to follow-through to completion.
" Effective communication, writing and grammar skills, paying attention to detail.
" Must be flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced and fluid business environment.
