This position is located in Irving, TX.
The position reports to the Director of Continuous Improvement and is part of a team responsible for leading the Continuous Improvement Process throughout the Company. The Master Black Belt shall be responsible for energizing the organization using Continuous Improvement tools to positively impact Customer Satisfaction, Quality, and Performance. As a key member of the corporate facilitation team, the Master Black Belt will provide the necessary facilitation to keep Continuous improvement projects active and on task as well as assisting in identification and removal of barriers preventing successful project completion.
As part of a team, lead the Continuous Improvement training program by training, mentoring, and supporting certification of Black Belt and Green Belt candidates across the organization.
" Develop and continuously improve Champion, Black Belt, Green Belt, and Yellow Belt training materials and certification requirements.
" Work with Company, other Master Black Belts, outside experts and facility leadership to identify, design and deliver other key training programs having company-wide Continuous improvement application.
" Facilitate cross-facility and cross-functional project teams through the Quantify, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control phases of the Six Sigma strategy to produce improved quality, improved cycle time, reduced costs, and customer satisfaction throughout the organization.
" Work with the Divisional and facility leaders to evaluate Black Belt and Green Belt project metrics and report progress on a monthly basis.
" Work with the Divisional and facility leaders to ensure adequate project backlog.
" Work with Divisional and facility leadership to identify key projects that will provide the optimum benefits to customers and the business results.
" Work closely with local leadership teams to ensure continuous improvement efforts are driven throughout the organization through sharing of best practices.
" Work with Black Belts, Green Belts and other Master Black Belts to maximize improvement efforts.
" Lead as required multi-facility projects.
" Identify and remove barriers that slow or prevent the successful attainment of process yield, cycle time, defect reduction and cost goals.
Qualifications:
" Certified Black Belt including successful completion of Six Sigma Black Belt training.
" Certified Master Black Belt (Preferred).
" Degree in Business, Engineering, or other technical discipline strongly recommended. Graduate degree a plus.
" High comfort level and proficiency with mathematical statistics and Design of Experiments.
" Fluent in English - Other languages are a plus!
" Proven record of performance and trusted professional credibility.
" Experienced and passionate team leader with proven problem solving experience and process focus.
" Proven leadership skills and business knowledge - performance driven.
" Excellent training and presentation skills with solid communication capabilities and practices, both oral and written.
" Broad strategic thinker, with clear vision and direction of world-class change management and a passion for the Six Sigma methodologies.
" Good working knowledge of the principles and philosophies of total quality management and high performance work systems.
" Strong project management skills.
" Works well in team environment, with sound negotiation and problem solving skills.
" Strong interpersonal capabilities, and ability to work cross-functionally with other leaders
" Able to combine aggressive initiative with professional discipline and demeanor to accomplish difficult tasks through other people.
" Demonstrates a keen desire to continually learn and grow - motivated by successes.
